What a price to pay for soon to be OWNING General Motors. I can hear the tort lawyers lining up now!! Not so fast grasshopper. All potential liabilities prior to 2009 belong to the "old" GM and the "new" GM cannot be held liable. Another gift from Obama.

GM is not legally liable for the negligence of the former GM. They are surely going to try to avoid any obligation to pay for this negligence.
They will claim that Motors Liquidation Company is responsible as that is the actual corporation formerly known as General Motors.
