But they are not just killing each other. Mosul is the historic Nineveh, the city to which Jonah was sent by God. St. Thomas the Apostle went to Nineveh, and that city is the Christian center of Iraq. So it’s not just Sunni/Shia. It’s Islam against the world.
But Jonah didn’t go to preach against the wickedness so it’s logical that Mosul should fall to wickedness.
