In Baghdad later on Sunday, a series of explosions killed at least 15 people and injured more than 30, police and hospital officials said.
Insurgents also seized Tal Afar, a mainly ethnic Turkmen city in the north west of the country, after heavy fighting. Residents reached by telephone said it had fallen.
"The city was overrun by militants. Severe fighting took place, and many people were killed. Shi'ite families have fled to the west and Sunni families have fled to the east," a city official who asked not to be identified told Reuters.
Graham said “this stubborn-headed president we have who thinks he knows better than anybody else, who withdrew troops and exposed this country to the inevitable, needs to change his policies quickly”.
He added that Obama was “delusional” and “detached”. “The number of people who could die in this country from getting this wrong is going to be far greater than 4,000 [a reference to the number of US troops killed so far in Iraq, actually 4,424] because they are getting hold of weapons they did not have before,” he said.

After all, he is in Kalifornia and they are busy discussing climate change and light rail options. Plus he has another fundraiser and it is possible he won't get the word until after his luncheon speech.
Whatever. He will really be mad! How could George Bush do this to him?

Fox is doing ‘A Bush Family Album’ while CNN is going with Anthony Bourdain.
I didn’t buy the confidence that these ‘foreign policy experts’ asserted that ISIS could not topple Baghdad with.
ISIS has the will power. Maliki cannot wait to flee the country. He’ll be doing the tango in the dance halls of Buenos Aires in no time. Meanwhile, US embassy staff will be getting their heads cut off and Obama will be on the 9th hole.

Iraq is closed with internet closed, no journalists allowed in most areas, and only a TV/radio station broadcasting or was. I don’t think any of the major networks have any journalists in the dangerous areas of the country? Getting info is hard for media.
I wonder if Obama has seen this on TV yet?

It shows 1 Iraqi airlines plane landing but I have no idea if it really is. Its coming from Northern Iraq near the border with Iran.
