The cover-up is always worse than the crime, the conclusion drawn from Watergate, does not seem to have been learned by the IRS or whoever directed it to make the claim late Friday that emails from Lois Lerner to outside agencies (including most notably the White House) were lost in a computer “crash.” That claim is risible according to various experts.
Jason Howerton of The Blaze interviewed veteran IT expert Norman Cillo, “an Army veteran who worked in intelligence and a former program manager at Microsoft,” who laid out six reasons, complete with charts, why he believes Congress is being lied to. Among them:
- I believe the government uses Microsoft Exchange for their email servers. They have built-in exchange mail database redundancy. So, unless they did not follow Microsofts recommendations they are telling a falsehood. (snip)
- Every IT organization that I know of has hotswappable disk drives. Every server built since 2000 has them. Meaning that if a single disk goes bad it’s easy to replace. (snip)
- ALL Servers use some form of RAID technology. The only way that data can be totally lost (Meaning difficult to bring back) is if more than a single disk goes before the first bad disk is replaced….
He notes “All email servers in a professional organization use TAPE backup. Meaning if all the above fails, you can restore the server using the TAPE backups.”

Sadly, I think Ed Rollins was right on Fox this morning when he said these disappeared emails will just be overtaken in another week by some bit of corruption or poor leadership even more bizarre and lost in the shuffle - the endgame for Obama ans his ilk is becoming more and more obvious - flood the system with so much lawlessness and corruption that even the most dedicated and informed people simply becoms overwhelmed with it all and give up any expectation that any of it will ever be punished or remedied - going Galt will be the new normal as people try to stay afloat in their own lives and let the thugs and brigands rule the land......
It is called the Cloward-Piven (sp?) strategy, and obastard’s handlers have it down to a t...
Wait, let me fix that..
I expect Mr. Obama to find the missing emails on his
dresser as he comes out of the closet...
This is obvious, in your face, we don’t care what you say, just try and impeach me, shut the f up, screw you we’re not giving you the emails, fake.
Right....
The WH just may have found how far is to far?.
Was that “Right” or “Right /sarc”? Sorry, my /sarc detector is broken right now.
Who was the Hawaiian official that died after the water ditching that everyone else survived?
I am a photographer.
I have a digital database of photos going back to 2001. It is redundant, hot swappable and on it’s own backed up power supply. Current projects are backed up to the cloud to boot.
And I don’t even know what I am doing.
This is such crap.
I think these guys imagine the general public as the confused old ladies who still write checks at the grocery store.
Everyone knows this. The Obama Regime knows it. Congress knows it. The public knows it. Three year olds know this.
The question is what is Congress going to do about it? If past action is any indication I predict they will do nothing of consequence.
I spent over 30 years in the computer business, back from when IBM 360 with either massive tape drives were dominant and on up until just a couple years ago. Over the course of those years I had the opportunity to run two different software development and web service companies with thousands upon thousands of clients. Which is to say I know all about email storage, backup and email security...and what the IRS is saying is virtually impossible.
Even reasonably smart criminals bent on erasing their email information today most often fail in such efforts, so how could it occur accidentally? This is because of how many redundant copies are made of almost all emails.
Emails typically hop through multiple routers outside the control of either the sender or their recipient to get to an addressee. This routing methodology or SMTP, (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is the foundation of virtually the entire email world.
To make it easy to understand, this is a “store and forward” methodology or process that is very insecure because so many copies of an email are made by third parties or service providers who are independent of either the sender or recipient.
It is what it is. Period.
You see, much of the various advertising services of Google and others offer businesses is dependent on being able to scan the content (communications) of the billion plus emails that hop through the Internet daily. Secure forms of email would have no reason to exist if this were not true. It is one of the ways such online advertising service providers enrich and keep current the profiles they maintain on virtually all email users they can snag an address on. Again, what the IRS is claiming if virtually impossible in general.
On top of this large organization typically set up proxy servers which copy any outside email coming into their systems, so even if Lois was using an outside service, copies of all exchanges going around their “inhouse” email system would get copied.
The only reasonable conclusion is that for the IRS to put out such an obviously bogus story the emails in question must contain some pretty damaging information that goes straight up the line to someone really important.
Even IF (a big if) the stars aligned properly and the IRS lost her files, all her emails on the server, AND the backups, these emails would be recoverable from the originating/receiving servers (White House, DOJ, Treasury, etc.)
RICO, lots of people need to be charged.
Exactly. Just another middle finger in the face of America. soetoro knows the Republicans don’t have the ba!!$ to do anything about it.
Loretta Fuddy, the director of the state Department of Health, was one of nine people aboard the Honolulu-bound Cessna Grand Caravan plane that crashed in Hawaii waters shortly after leaving Kalaupapa Airport.
Fuddy, 65, was the only one killed; eight others, including the pilot, survived.
The IRS may have “lost” the emails they sent or received. There should be records of IRS communications in other
departments, (DOJ, Social Security, etc, etc). You don’t
suppose a Tea storm washed away ALL traces of Lerner files?
(SARC++++++)
That’s “Right” as in I think you are absolutely correct - I’ve resisted the Cloward-Piven explanation because I couldn’t figure out how people who are always yapping about how much concern they have for the poor and downtrodden could not see that crashing the system would only leave these unfortunates worse off than they are now - then I remembered something I’ve actually believed for years - in spite of all their yapping, these people’s first concern is themselves - as long as they gain power, screw the poor and the downtrodden....
That’s the one I was thinking of. Could not remember her name.
Bump. This is not getting nearly enough press.
The shriveled up old hag lied to us.
