Stop making sense. Junta supporters are covertly itching to have Ukraine at home one day. It is probably a kind of masochism or they plan to be on side of tyrants.
Those 49 countrymen were there to defend a majority of Eastern Ukrainian citizens who have been intimidated by violence into silence.
They were there to defend against a coalition of a minority of Eastern Ukrainian citizens and a large number of foreign Russian national invaders who wish to separate that portion of Ukraine against the will of the majority of the folks who live there.
