Spot on. The numbers don't reflect a growing economy and, maybe more importantly, the FEELING isn't there either. I'm old enough to remember Jimmy Carter's America, with double-digit inflation and interest rates, price control, weak leadership, weak foreign policy, etc. When Reagan came along not only did the hard numbers begin to change, but the FEELING of American pride began to return. Just take a look at Reagan's "Morning in America" re-election commercial.
As for Barack Hussein Obama, the media has carried his water from the moment he announced his candidacy but, nearly six years on, their cheerleading can't change the truth (and perception) of weak leadership, sluggish job growth, crushing debt, etc. They can scream all they want about a growing economy but Americans aren't seeing or feeling it.

Exactly. Gallup needs to face real unemployment stats, add a national debt that Obama has more then doubled, add the Fed printing paper and refusing to let anyone check their books. From the IRS to every branch of GOV- it is closed off to our elected representatives and now so hush hush due to Obama and pals. These folks forget America was founded based on individualism and certain God given rights ( The Bill of Rights ). Our founding fathers believed in states rights and a limited federal government. Obama and pals have made the Fed Gov king and if a state doesn’t like it they threaten to withhold fed funds to keep the states in line.
