Until the grip of the public employees and teacher's unions are broken, Detroit has absolutely no chance. That, and a complete purge of its leadership, are the necessities that will help cure the cancer killing the former Motor City. Another thing is to eliminate all the job killing rules and restrictions that have beem put in place to screw around with the private sector and give the union thugs busy work. If all these things could be done, Detroit might have a chance. Without them, Detroit is doomed — a dying rust belt city.

That’s pretty much what Ive thought. I also think that there are a lot of lessons for other cities there.
