The Department of Defense has disbursed some funds to universities so that scientists might study the dynamics of civil unrest and how the U.S. military might best respond.
Its called the Minerva Research Initiative, and its a program that was kicked off in 2008 to improve DoDs basic understanding of the social, cultural, behavioral and political forces that shape regions of the world of strategic importance to the U.S., The Guardian reported.

They were doing this 15 years ago at a 2nd amendment rally I was at in front of the UN. They videotaped all of us and a couple of them followed me home.
Same here. I've been trying to talk to my neighbor about getting an emergency generator. He is looking, but also looking at solar. His son is an engineer in solar power and there is some new solar technology that is not as heavy or difficult to install as solar panels.
