Del Norte county voted down a proposal to join in. I was surprised.

How about some thought? The issue is real, please ignore spelling and typos.
Perhaps (In coordination with other county commissioners/executives + county council members) should en mass vote to secede from California, then after voting in the affirmative, send these proposals to the voters of their counties in the November election. After that send the proposal to the CA Leg. and if necessary through a statewide referendum. Then on to Congess where we’d probably have to trade this state’s probable Republican votes in the House and Senate with letting Puerto Rico’s probable Democratic votes in The House and Senate for a Statehood.
