I worked for the Federal government for 36 years. It is impossible to lose two years of emails. A few hours worth maybe in extreme circumstances.

This is criminal. So? Does Lois Lerner personally have the expertise to ferret out every fragment of data, from every mirror site, from every RAID array, relating to her two years of missing e-mails?

The penalties for that are steep.

There would have been at least a few different people involved. Someone would have had to coordinate all this activity. There would have been communication between the different individuals who would have had to take separate actions to make this information disappear.

There would be electronic logs. There would have been certificates on CAC cards. There would have been packet loggers.

Find the weak sister. Work up from there.

This is white-collar prosecution 101.
