Gosh I hate to agree with the witch, but I do.....we cannot afford it. Like some have said earlier....let them kill each other and see who is left at the end and then perhaps do something if necessary. Everyone is still blaming President Bush, but I have a hard time with that because President Obama is the one who sent the troops home.

If all it’ll cost is a few bombing runs to keep AQ at bay, why not? Agree to Maliki’s terms under the provision we get a huge sum of cash plus an agreement not to prosecute if we sty in the are.

We could ply a winning hand from this still. Unles we wlk awy completely and let AQ have Iraq.

Bush did not plan to end the war in any fashion similar to the cut-and-run strategy of the Obamanation. Whether or not is was wise to go into Iraq is debatable; but once in, ending it like the messiah tried to do could only result in a worst-case scenario, Iraq's disintegration and a terrorist tskeover, which it has.

Wonder why they do not have the same attitude with the illegal kids on the border. Let them kill each other and whoever is remaining we can deal with. Sounds neat and clean.

If ISIS takes over Iraq, it will be a catastrophe. Remember the morale and prestige boost the Mujahadeen got out of chasing the Soviets from Afghanistan?

If ISIS can make the claim that it collapsed the US-installed regime in Baghdad, followed by the collapse of Aghanistan in a couple of years (if not sooner), the Salafist gain will be incalculable.

At least, though, the USofA will not collapse in the aftermath like the USSR fell apart after being chased out of Afghanistan.
