Governor Chafee said Wednesday that the George W. Bush administration kicked a hornets nest with its 2003 invasion of Iraq, an act that unleashed sectarian divisions among Iraqis that are playing out today as militants continue to wrest control of territory from the faltering government of Nouri al-Maliki. Chafee offered his views in an interview after the militants seized control of most of the city of Tikrit, hometown of the late dictator Saddam Hussein. They had captured the city of Mosul the day before. I never understood the original push for war in Iraq, never understood the logic of regime change, Chafee said. These neocons [neo-conservatives] all through the 90s were talking the importance of regime change in Iraq and toppling Saddam Hussein, the strongman. I just didnt understand stirring up the hornets nest that is the Middle East. It just never made any sense to me, and now were seeing some of the ramifications of having deviated from our Cold War containment strategy.

Blame Bush in 3... 2... 1.
There’s a lower of standards / Affirmative Action effect with Obama. It’s racist to NOT hold a President accountable to the same level as other Presidents solely because of his race, but that’s exactly what’s going on with Obama.
Either than or the Stockholm Syndrome.
You send these people on a one-way trip into the sun, they’d wonder why it’s getting hotter and brighter.
Since the democrats have moved so far left, we have lost all continuity in foreign policy.
First sheriff locks up the Clantons. Second sheriff lets them go.
Perceptive barbershop crowd says the first sheriff was stupid to have locked them up in the first place, since some fool was bound to let them out.
Bush should have used RAID ....( neutron weapons )
Hillary Clinton, the smartest woman alive (/s), stood up back then and proclaimed, “Saddam Hussein MUST GO!!!” She was apparently OK with the original war effort. Maybe she could help him understand why we went over there? /s
Saddam asks head of nuclear program how things are going on the nuke?
Nuke program head tells him they are nowhere near having a nuclear weapon.
Saddam has him shot.
A few months later Saddam asks the new head of the nuke program how things are progressing?
Not wanting to be shot, the fellow responds, we're almost there, knowing full well they aren't.
British, and or other intel get's wind of this.
The story that Saddam has a nuke almost ready scares the bejezzers out of western leaders.
Bush, Hillary and most of the crowd run with the notion Saddam is almost ready to nuke us, so we'd better do something about it.
Saddam gets wind of it, and sends the entire nuke program to Libya.
He also sends the chemical weapons to Syria.
Funny how wars get started and the strange bedfellows they make. (The enemy of my enemy is my friend).
. They wouldn't wonder at all. They would know it was caused by burning fossil fuels.
If Saddam Hussein were alive, he’d be dead by now.
I recall Iraqi generals captured after the war and they couldn’t understand why the chemical weapons had not been used. Doesn’t necessarily mean they had chemical weapons, but even their own generals thought they had them.
Yeah, because they just *loved* us before that.

Same thought I had.
Shouldn’t it be night soon?
Whoa, facts have no place here! It’s all about the narrative!
