Breitbart News ^ | June 11, 2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 06/11/2014 10:06:04 PM PDT by This Just In

A day after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) lost his primary after Dave Brat hammered him on amnesty, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) embraced "immigration reform" on a conference call with Michael Bloomberg's pro-amnesty group and Grover Norquist.

I think Rand is off the reservation. We need to enforce our laws secure our borders. Once that’s done, then, and only then we can discuss immigration schemes.

Yeah let’s “compromise”. The invaders go the hell home and take up their demands and grievances with their own governments and we’ll stay here in our country.

I never understand why we need immigration “reform” when we don’t enforce the laws on the books.

I never understand why we are supposed to accept that millions of illegals here are okay, because they are doing work Americans aren’t doing. Why aren’t able bodied people on public assistance, being recruited to do these jobs? Many such jobs, such as janitorial/housekeeping, and farm work, are jobs that unskilled people can do. Why does it make sense to keep people on welfare, then import people from other countries to do the work????

Depends on what we get.

If all Democrats are as bad at negotiating trades as Obama, then it might be worth it.

I agree! The trend is frightening. If our “leaders” do not shape up and take a hard line on the illegals, that is, deporting them and making it impossible for them to get a job here (so they deport themselves), then the country is doomed. Speaking as a Hispanic, these illegals have no respect for U.S. law, and probably have very little respect for Mexican law too (though Mexico, these days, is quite lawless to begin with). Why would we want these people in our country who, in one big swoop, can change the political landscape once given the right to vote, and, considering they are all by definition criminals, will most likely vote to increase criminality and the social welfare state?

We Americans must have the right to regulate our borders and to pick and choose who we want in this country. I support legal immigration into this country of the best and brightest minds or hardest workers who will improve our nation. NOT these people who think they are entitled to ignore the law and receive financial assistance!

If they get voting rights, the constitution and the republic are both done for. What is there to compromise on?

“If all Democrats are as bad at negotiating trades as Obama, then it might be worth it.”

You do realize that your statement is laughable, yes?

I posted some time back that Paul had gotten a little too diplomatic with the dems. Playing a little to nice is usually a precursor to the total fold on one issue or another. Seems we are now seeing him fold.

It is a shame, he is from my state and I had high hopes for him.

We already are done for.

It is policy to not enforce immigration law or to control our borders.

We have defacto dissolution of the borders - which is to say dissolution of our nation.

Brought to you by Democrats AND Republicans.
