We had troops in Japan and Europe for many decades after WW2. Iraq is a hugely important strategic ally in that region and we are giving it away after all that long fought work to get it stable again. This is disgusting.

Thanks for touching on this history often ignored by conservatives and used by rats for decades to harm us overseas.
We have kept a military presence for over a century in Gitmo and the Philippines and since WWII in Germany/Europe/Japan and afterwards in Korea. Often it takes decades for the hatred of killers and their families to die off.
We didn’t in Nam and now in Iraq and soon Afghanistan.
