I know quite a few of these people and would like to be a part of regular society.

Their legal status precludes that.

One girl is a hottie but, can only work under the table.

She wishes she could get a real job. Not possible.

Yeah...I was talking more about having the guts to go for it to get here in the first place...kinda like "getting your foot in the door". Once they are here for awhile I'm sure priorities change and they really do want to be able to integrate into regular society with a regular job.

Reminds me a bit of when I was in the navy and I knew a few guys who were married to Filipino ladies. I remember mentioning to a guy that it must be nice being married to a Gal who came from that culture - where the man was always the head of the family. He said "yeah...it's great for about a year, then they get Americanized...after that they'll tell you to go to hell just like the born and bred American girls."
