As Hillary Clinton’s book tour continues, what many believe to be her unofficial presidential campaign roll out has been marred by gaffes and misstatements.
In an interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer on Monday, Clinton committed two classic Kinsley gaffes. First, she asserted that she and her husband left the White House “dead broke.” This statement earned Clinton a “mostly false” rating from Politifact and prompted her to clarify that she knows that her family is “obviously blessed.”
The second gaffe related to her response to the Benghazi attack. Clinton’s clumsy defense of her actions leading up to and following that attack allowed her opponents to cast her as callous and indifferent to an assault which resulted in the deaths of four Americans.
The former secretary of state committed yet another fumble on Wednesday in an appearance with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. At that speaking event, Clinton made a noble but failed attempt to link her place in history to those who served in a more influential administration.

“I actually write about Rahm in the book,” Clinton said. “I asked him not to read it before we sat and did our interview! But it was in the very first chapter, the chapter I rightly call ‘Team of Rivals’ because that’s what it was in the beginning. A senator from Illinois ran against a senator from New York just as had happened way back with a senator from Illinois named Lincoln and a senator from New York named Seward. And it turned out the same way.”
Lincoln was never a senator, as WLS’s Bill Cameron explained. “He lost that election to Stephen A. Douglas after the Lincoln-Douglas debates.”
Let the excuse making begin! Of course, Clinton was probably simply overtired, misspoke, suffered from indigestion, has never read Doris Kearns Goodwin, etc., etc.
No doubt, Clinton will be extended the benefit of the doubt rarely reserved for her Republican counterparts. This is precisely the kind of material that would be perfect for a list similar to what the Associated Press complied at the close of “verbal gaffe master” George W. Bush’s presidency – presuming that crafting such a list would even occur to AP’s editors.
All we can do, I suppose, is push the press in the right direction. Feel free to add today’s misstatement from Clinton to others she has made in the past. Like that time when Clinton mispronounced former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s name in a 2008 presidential debate and recovered with the supremely artful “Medavedeva … whatever.”
Surely there are a few other misstatements to add to that list…

We also know that JFK did not write his Pulitzer winning book PROFILES IN COURAGE. It was written by Theodore Sorensen (JFK’s speech writer).

And wasn't she under gunfire and almost lost her life in the middle east?
And didn't she loot the White House of over $100,000 worth of silverware, statues, painting, etc.?
And didn't she misplace the files the government was looking for for years?
And didn't she steal almost 1000 FBI files?
And wasn't she involved heavily in the mysterious murder and then abuse of the corpse of Vince Foster?
And didn't she always love the NY sports teams?
And wasn't she almost right there during the 911 attack? Right down the street?

What scares me and should scare every good American is that this lying grifter could actually get elected to be our president? And could you imagine what she could do after this present dimbulb leaves office? Or, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?

Well, she brought a house in Chappaqua In Westchester County near NYC in preparation for running for Senator. She of course did that in order to establish her residency in New York state.
She declared her candidacy for the Senate a few months after that.
Ah, so less of a chance of plagiarism?
But DKG is an expert at groveling and marveling at some of the most corrupt and/or despicable politicians in American history.
I'm sure she would have been able to pick up pointers from DKG, or at least have the ghost read DKG.
Let’s face it, she’s not fit to be dogcatcher much less president of the US. She has been riding her Daddy’s coattails for far too long. She should retire and allow the next generation to start their career in grifting.
Plus she admits to being on blood thinners. She and Bill will both be dead in 5 years. They are very unhealthy looking. The devil gets his due and will call both of them to hell soon.

Edmund Hillary became the first climber confirmed as having reached the summit of Mount Everest. That was 29 May 1953.
Hillary (Who supposedly was named after him), was born October 1947, SIX YEARS before the feat. Her parents must have had some prophetic gifts to know that Edmund Hillary would accomplish his feat 6 years before the fact. /s
One does not have to “reside” in a state until the day he files his candidacy papers for either U.S. House or U.S. Senate. Now, if it’s governor he seeks, there are different rules in each state.
No matter how much that obvious lie is exposed, it does not move the intractable American people at all. They are still convinced HRC can steer some kind of federal grants their way.
Can we all just stop acting like Democrats are smart-they aren’t!
“What difference does it make?” should be the new U.S. motto; it already is the motto of the American people who endorse HRC without reservation.

CYNTHIA MCFADDEN: Clinton writes in her book, the U.S. was involved in negotiations with the Taliban while she was Secretary of State, and even then, getting Bowe Bergdahl back was part of the equation. I think an awful lot of people think that we’re less safe today than we were a week ago because these five guys are out.
HILLARY CLINTON: These five guys are not a threat to the United States. They are a threat to the safety and security of Afghanistan and Pakistan. It’s up to those two countries to make the decision once and for all that these are threats to them. So I think we may be kind of missing the bigger picture here. We want to get an American home, whether they fell off the ship because they were drunk or they were pushed or they jumped, we try to rescue everybody.

Also, isn’t it more than passingly strange that we would release terrorists that more than likely will present a dangerous situation for a country that is at least theoretically at war with the same terrorists and on our side?
