Just a hint to conservatives. Don’t run six conservatives against one RINO and expect anyone but the RINO to get 50%. Get the would-be challengers in a room, put the names in a hat, ask God’s guidance, and draw a name. That will be the candidate ALL those in the room will work to elect. It’s the only way to succeed.

Same thing happened in Wisconsin last time with Tommy Thompson. UGH. He used to be a terrific governor years ago, then went to DC, got politicized, big head. Came back, tried to run for senate, bumped off two good other guys, then LOST to gasp...... Tammy Baldwin. What an embarrassment for WI to be represented by such a person.

A lot of good and relevant ideas here, I agree the key is to have something of a “pre-primary” among the Tea Party and the overall conservative core of the GOP, so that we’ve settled on one conservative champion well before the primaries of 2020, 2018 and 2016. Not sure of the best mechanism for this, but the various straw polls and pre-primary debates can help us to settle on a single champion, which for example for the 2020 primary, might be someone like Lee Bright— but more or less decided earlier in 2019, so that he has the name recognition, media attention and resources to take down Lindsey Graham. Same for the 2018 and 2016 primaries to take down those pro-amnesty and H1b RINOS, we should have some means to settle on a single conservative champion by early in 2017 and 2015, respectively.

Good point also about Marco Rubio, he has been walking back somewhat but he’s lost a lot of trust from his membership in the Gang of Eight, and I’m not sure he can ever gain that back. The problem is he posed as a conservative initially and backstabbed the movement with the immigration reform bill, the single most important bill to show his conservative credentials (the one most important for allowing a conservative movement to be viable in the first place). If he wants to regain that trust, he’s going to have to do a lot more and specifically on immigration reform, for example to unequivocally kill such a bill if brought up again in 2015. And also to loudly and unfailingly speak up against other pro-amnesty and H1b RINO traitors even outside of that, for example right now denouncing John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Jeff Flake, Kelly Ayotte, Orrin Hatch, John Hoeven and other pro-amnesty traitors, publicly. Obviously this would be unpleasant for him as he’d be going against the RINO’s who duped him, but he has to show some backbone against those traitors to prove his own bona fides. In fact, he could get that ball rolling by doing something we can all easily agree on— denouncing the Democratic Gang of Eight anti American traitors especially Dick Durbin, Chuck Schumer and Robert Menendez. This alone would show some spine while also giving an introduction to turning his immigration reform criticism against the RINO’s as well.

The Dems and Graham himself helped bring about the six candidates. I’m going to vote against LG in the general.

Tex, You are correct. To run six conservative candidates against Lindsey and then expect one to defeat him was sheer folly. Hopefully the anti-Lindsey conservatives will spend then next six years, provided Lindsey is re-elected, uniting to find a single conservative to run against him.
