It ain't easy. The services are very exacting in regard to health issues, physical fitness (NO FATTIES!), drug use, any criminal record, education, etc.
Then they turn around and take a guy who was section 8-ed out of the Coasties? (Good for them, BTW)
HTF did that happen? As we type, I have the 19-year old son of a friend being rejected from the Navy because of a juvenile record (marijuana) since expunged. He is a fine young man, too.
Makes you wonder who got Bergdahl in the Army, and why? If he left the Coast Guard in 2006, what year did he get in Army?
