I’ve heard rumors that some shopping malls will be converted into Section 8 housing. I’ve seen some malls with a number of empty storefronts, which makes you wonder how the mall owners are making money. Most mall owners have a mortgage to pay, which they pay from the rental income from their retail tenants.

At one of the dying malls here in SC, one guy has had a dinner theatre / mystery show going for a while. I’d like to see it stay on. Its the only reason I go to that mall.

Most everything else is Amazon or another on line retailer. I miss pro camera shops though.

You may have hit on something here. Maybe there should be Section 8 retail stores, where people who can't afford a store of their own will get the government to give them one. It could open up a whole new area of retail--Crack R Us, Meth-Ed to Madness, Guns n Hos, Booty-full Designs (for the full figured gals), etc. etc. I like it.
