Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost in stunning fashion Tuesday night to tea party challenger Dave Brat.
And Sen. Ted Cruz’s staff appears to be pretty celebratory on Twitter in response. The senator and the majority leader have clashed before, most notably over Obamacare. Here are tweets from three top staffers.
Cruz’s speechwriter and senior communications adviser:
Cruz’s chief of staff:
Cruz’s press secretary, responding to a tweet from Erick Erickson on stories about the “Tea Party dying” in the mainstream media:

Yes! These Washington types are used to printing money. Good factoid to spread around. On his interview with Hannity tonight, which was excellent, he asked for “funds.” Not afraid to ask for support. Good.

I disagree...
It is not a crack ..., it is the people saying "we don't give a dam about your candidate, the turncoat !"
He got into office as a Tea Party Conservative , and then turned his back on Conservative values,
It was the voters saying FUBO !!

I worked the 5-2 am shift, came home, fell asleep and woke up to this wondrous news.
We in TX had to live with Cornyn because we didn’t target him with a viable conservative.... it was a horrible example to set and I’m overjoyed the rest of the Nation is waking up and ditching RINOs.

Only if the RINOs lose control of the House leadership. Cantor may have lost his seat, but nothing says Cantor can't be replaced by another RINO in his leadership post.
Big Business and the liberals running the GOP still have a very vested interest in making things like amnesty happen, so I'd expect we will see a huge push for some kind of amnesty before any replacements take their place in the House.

This means the RATS haven’t figured out how to hack midterms with open primaries.
