I’m referring to races with numerous conservatives, such as all the challengers to Lindsey Graham. A couple of conservatives where there is a runoff works fine, but when there are five or six, and none well known, the races just stay too unfocused and the incumbent, or better known RINO has too many advantages.
And the worst case of all of this is the Republican presidential primaries where there are no runoffs.
Yes you are correct. Cornyn won in TX they way you describe.
So multiple opponents can work well during a primary.
