News on less popular races, we will not be running a Black Republican against Black rat Steve Horsford in Nevada.
Tea party favorite Niger Innis loses the GOP primary for Nevada-4, with 2/3s of the vote in State Assemblyman Cresent Hardy (who I think is fine) is the called the winner 42%-33%. Too bad, I think Innis would have had a better chance to win.
State Senator Mark Hutchison is the easy winner of the LT Governor Primary, beating Sue Lowden.
Ron Knecht is the GOP nominee for Controller, the only rat held office that doesn’t have one of the other statewide rats playing musical chairs trying to get it (all are term limited and changing offices except for the AG who is retiring).

Arkansas runoff, in the only major race to need a runoff Attorney and former legal aide to Ex-Governor Turducken, Leslie Rutledge, wins the GOP nomination for the open Attorney Generalship. She is a she, unlike most Leslies in the south.
Outside groups ran attack ads on behalf of her foe, Attorney David Sterling, trying to paint her as a friend to democrats (he says he had nothing to do with the ads but don’t think they are inaccurate). We are seeing negative campaigning backfiring in several GOP races, Cantor probably would have won if he didn’t try to unfairly paint Brat as an “advisor to Kaine”. And there was that congressional candidate in Alabama who attacked every opponent as a RINO when it clearly wasn’t true.
Anyway Ark. hasn’t had a GOP AG since the Mesozoic era, if ever. I’m hoping for a GOP sweep of statewide offices.
SC LT Governor, Former AG Henry McMaster faces a runoff either against Pat Campbell’s son, Mike Campbell, or Businessman Pat McKinney. McKinney is up by 1000k votes with 99% in.
Agree!!!
The big money from the Chamber of Commerce and such wants amnesty and it could be a December “gift” for them in a lame duck session of Congress following the November elections.
Nice hope he’ll win in November.
Pat Campbell’s son? I think that you mean Carroll Campbell’s son. And Mike Campbell is a different son from Tumpy (the one who ran against Tim Scott and Strom’s son in SC-01 a few years ago), right?
Yes, Carroll Campbell. I butchered that post. “Tumpy” (weird nickname) is Carroll Campbell the 3rd, Mike’s brother.
McKinney leads for the 2nd runoff spot by about 1000 votes, not “1000k”, which is a million.
Lindsey Graham failed to pass amnesty. Cantor could pull the trigger on it.
