Unfortunately (because as FDR said, "I hate war") it will take a little (or more than a little) ass kicking before the world believes it's been removed. And I don't mean picking around the edges with restrictive ROE as in Afghanistan which sacrifice too many troops. We should have learned that weakness and lack of resolve lead inevitably to war.
