All part of the grand plan to make more people rely on public transit and make it necessary to relocate to urban centers.

“All part of the grand plan to make more people rely on public transit and make it necessary to relocate to urban centers.”

I bought a cheap piece of property 20 miles from the edge of town. It’s gorgeous. But it cost .12 a mile to run my diesel car, which is way too small. (That’s $4.80 to drive to the gym.) I have an awesome 2003 Marauder but it cost .20 a mile or $10-15 to drive to the middle of town. At a town meeting they discussed ways to “force” people to use the bus. They were going to choke off the two main east/west roads. They did do it to one, but the outcry stopped them on the other. So, yes, our political leaders really do want to end the car and personal freedom. Incidentally, I’ll bet they all drive Mercedes and Volvos. They commute in from the fancy section in the north and probably never have to go east/west except to cross the choke points which would be no problem.
