To: Strategy

Russia sold the Alaska Territory to the U.S. in 1867 by formal treaty (”Seward’s Folly”, it was called by those who thought Alaska worthless), so does Putin now simply abrogate a treaty that is even more valid now than it was during the Soviet era?

Or is “Red Dawn” about to happen for real? Do the Russians think our military is that demoralized?

Just what are the capabilities of today’s Russian Army? What is their order of battle? Seems Putin could not even make good on invading eastern Ukraine.

I would hesitate to lead an army into the wilds of Alaska. The citizens of the state are serious, armed and without fear.
