My land these people put a big S on stupid, don’t they.

But the world of crime prevention is chock full of victim blaming.

“People should lock their doors if they are out of town.”
“You should not leave your purse unattended.”
“You should not give personal info to Nigerian princes.”
“You should not follow the same route day after day when making a nightly bank deposit.”
“You should not open the door to strangers.”

Wow why don’t the police and other crime prevention specialists stop blaming the victim. Criminals should just stop robbing, defrauding, stealing, assaulting, and being bad guys.

Don’t give personal information to Nigerian princes? Just the other day, I got an e-mail from Nigeria. Somebody had a long African sounding name, but my last name was one of their middle names. And they said we were related, and that there was money to be shared. You mean they want my personal information for nefarious purposes?????
