It's an old civilization. They also think that their culture is above others.
They are like the Pakistanis. "Pak" means PURE and "stan" means LAND, the land of the pure. Both peoples think very highly of their culture and country...and since they are the SAME people, it's not surprising. THEY could teach US about corruption.

I always wonder why "old" or "new" somehow mean "better." They don't.
