Conservative Media Refuse to Cover New Book on Gay Movement
Breitbart's Big Journalism ^ | June 8, 2014 | Austin Ruse

Posted on 06/09/2014 3:14:27 AM PDT by Bratch

Robert Reilly is one of the more respected men in Washington, DC. As a very young man, he was a special adviser to President Reagan. He is a longtime music critic, specializing in teaching the emergence of amazing new orchestral music. He was a spokesman behind the green line during the Iraq war, reporting directly to Paul Bremer, head of the occupational authority. He led the Voice of America.

Reilly's new book cannot get a hearing; there is a media blackout, a stonewall even among the conservative press who, according to a high-ranking think tank scholar at the Hudson Institute, owe him at least a hearing on his controversial new book Making Gay Okay, out now several weeks from the Catholic publisher Ignatius Press.

But so far, silence—or the sound of slamming doors.

Nothing in National Review, not even National Review Online. Nothing in Weekly Standard, even though Reilly reached out personally to his old friend Bill Kristol. Nothing in the American Spectator, which has already rejected a piece on the book by one of their longstanding contributors. The Wall Street Journal didn’t even lead the publisher along. They said simply and firmly, “no.”

What is everyone so worried about?

RE:”In the beginning of the same-sex marriage debate, however, the arguments changed. No longer could homosexuality be criticized. The only argument advanced was that children need a mother and father, something that same-sex couples cannot provide. This argument was backed up by voluminous social science data that has been almost overwhelmingly rejected by the American electorate and certainly by the courts that, state-by-state, are imposing same-sex marriage. “

Yep, once it became politically incorrect to call the lifestyle destructive it was over.

There were two steps to this I remember that they took:

1) Adoption of children by gays :”No one else wants them so they are better off being taken care of by two loving parents even if they are gay/same sex couples”

Family values

2) Marriage is for having and raising children “If the parental argument is the only one against same sex marriage then why to we allow couples who cant procreate to marry?”

Sorry, but “insert Tab A into Slot B” is never going to be replaced by “insert Tab A into Tab B.” Doesn’t make sense.

There is a pervasive ignorance in our society that teaches that just because an act is committed in a bedroom that it has no impact on others. Thus, the legalization of sodomy in 2003 by our “enlightened” SCOTUS. YOu’d think that the HIV epidemic would have clued someone in on the huge societal impact that even the most private of behaviors can have on a society.

In biological terms, sodomites defeat themselves. From the perspective of natural selection, they have selected the wrong sex. And they have picked a sexual behavior that will insure they die young. If you want a way to make a quick exit from the gene pool, sodomy is the ticket.

Among the many things the world doesn’t need more of, yet another book extolling the virtues of perversion has to be in the top contenders.

I know, I know, I should be used to it by now and I’m sure I have (maybe) been guilty of it myself before, but man oh man its frustrating.

You didn't read the whole piece, did you?

From the Breitbart piece:

What is everyone so worried about?

The book takes a highly critical look at how the LGBT movement has moved so swiftly through all major U.S. institutions including the military, the psychological establishment, the courts, education, and even the Boy Scouts. In some ways, the leaders of the LGBT movement ought to consider the book a love song to their political acumen and amazing successes. No one thought twenty years ago that they would have made so many remarkable advances.

Reilly takes a deep look at how it happened. He starts with a philosophical premise: that Jean-Jacques Rousseau—who taught reality could be changed and that any institution standing in the way of such changes needed to be overthrown including the family—swamped Aristotle, who was in love with unchanging reality. For gay to be okay, reality had to change, and Rousseau laid the groundwork for that.

There's more there -- the whole piece is worth reading!

Yet another reason the Repubs are just as bad as the Dimmos on the critical moral issues that bring God’s wrath down on our heads. Our nation has collectively gone stark raving insane.

“...all of us are not going to convert. Some of us will choose to listen to God, and not submit to your pressure.”

They know, and are counting on it. That’s what it is all about, using the power of the state to punish those who they know will never buy into it despite the punishments inflicted. ‘Gay marriage’ is the stick they won’t ever have to put down, because there are those who will never buy into it.

The title of the book is ironic. The author is not saying Gay IS OK, he’s analyzing how words, principles, individuals and and institutions have been corrupted an to MAKE Gay O.K. He’s analyzing -— critically -— the rapid success of the rot.

In summary: Just another facet of the queer derangement syndrome (QDS). When queers aren’t vectoring diseases or rimming another male, the whining coprophiles are always screeching, I’m oppressed.

Total access to your kids is coming. Just as in Ancient Rome male homosexuals, aka coprophiliacs, were allowed to buy, sell, use, and trade young boys. Dragging civilization back a thousand years is called “gay” progress.

Thanks to the marketing of deviance by Hollywood perverts, people have simply bought into the vernacular set by the mentally deranged and so-called “gay” lifestyle. Why does what amounts to a man licking/rimming/felching another man’s rear constitute some kind of “gay” lifestyle?

Yeah, except where do all the new sodomites come from?

Broken homes, corrupted schools, etc.

The book’s argument:

“He suggests that inveterate sinning can lead to a deadening of the conscience and, in order to maintain inveterate sinning, an elaborate edifice of justification must be erected. The edifice of justification is built not just by the sinner but a willing society around him.”

Duh! Folks on FR have been saying that since...well, since before I joined in 1998. They want society to approve so they won’t feel guilty about doing what they already know is wrong. They want God to be replaced by Nike: “Just do it”.

“In the beginning of the same-sex marriage debate, however, the arguments changed. No longer could homosexuality be criticized.”

Nope. Not on FR at least. Heck, my standard reply to the homosexual activists is “When I see stallions doing other stallions while the other stallions seek it out, I’ll believe it is natural...” For variety, one can substitute ‘lions’ for ‘stallions’.

And as Paul wrote to the Romans 2000 years ago:

“For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things...For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.”

“would be to acknowledge that there are standards by which our own behavior could be judged and condemned”

Well that is the trick isn’t it...as long as we aren’t living lives that are given to evil, we just might have the moral and spiritual obligation to speak out about that which is evil?!

Everyone’s life is checkered to a varied degree...but to regain a national moral coherency we have to start somewhere, by repentance and separation from those who advocate sin.

The immoral have no moral basis in which to call those who are morally upright, immoral or even hypocrites. To even call another a hypocrite, one has to be in a morally superior position. The Gays may yell “hypocrite” but they are in no moral position to do so, though another Christian might be, if a brother or sister is erring.

The mistake Christians...Catholic and Protestant have made is to assume that unrepentant Gays have an equally morally upright position with those of Christians. Sure we are to love the ‘sinner’, but they don’t have Christ and their positions must be always seen as morally irrational. They may accuse us of being “condescending” by taking this position, but this is where we must stiffen our resolve and unify together in the faith. Spiritually, we must make our “faces to be as flint stone”! We have the superior spiritual position, though it may be costly to us to be supportive of that position. The living Christ, God in flesh, the cross and the empty tomb...and now our advocate or “defense attorney” before the Father is what we have...! What do they have?
