You ought to see the wound channel a standard 158 gr. HP makes when fired out of a 35 Remington at 2400 fps. I’ve seen several deer shot with that combination, very impressive.
There’s probably a magic number below that 3200fps at which that bullet, with imparted spin, will fly apart after leaving the barrel.
