This has been rumored since Kirk was elected. I think it’s just pure speculation with no foundation.
I would crawl over hot coals to reelect that little RINO turd if Michelle were the rat nominee, but I doubt she’ll run.
Who will stop Obama’s third term?
Wasn’t that North Carolina thing satire? It wasn’t labeled as such, but sure read like it.
Which Democrats will run for the U.S. Senate, in IL, in 2016? I think AG Lisa Madigan will run. Barack Obama and Paul Simon were state senators before they were U.S. senators. Since she’s been a state senator and attorney general, that experience would help her campaign.
I’m starting to wonder about Princess Lisa, Phil. She passed on running for Senate or Governor in 2010 (Quinn “won” and Alexi! almost won, so she clearly would have won either race) and for Governor this year. Doesn’t seem like she’s up for a fight, maybe she’s content to remain AG for life.
Now, to run against Kirk she won’t have to risk her current job, so maybe that will make the difference. But he’s the incumbent now, a poll from last year showed them tied.
I don’t know. Maybe she’d rather be Governor, she should have a free shot at the rat nomination in 2018 no matter what happens this year, or maybe she’s a wuss and will just stay AG.
Beyond her, I think Foster is a potentially strong candidate for the rats. But I don’t know if Chi rats will accept nominating a suburban candidate when the other Senator is a downstater. Someone Black will probably run, maybe Robin Kelly.
I don’t see that happening at all. Michelle has never been that interested in politics as far as I can tell. I think she’s going to stay in DC where her daughters will go to college while Barack will return to Hawaii after the divorce is finalized.
