In Texas, the state regs handed down by the legisture state the goal is to reunite the family unit. Don't be too quick to judge CPS because most times CPS is forced to reunite too early and place children back into dangerous situations. CPS also has to follow judges' orders which, as we all know, can be wacked and in no way, shape, or form what any of the attorneys or CPS recommends - Heck, it doesn't matter the entire Mexican community is yelling in the courtroom not to send a sexually molested toddler back to the illegal alien home to be abused more or disappears into the night. Heck, throw dad in jail for not visiting kid. Heck, why would anyone not want a kid be in therapy with a therapist who is up on charges of child molestation. Heck, who cares if witnesses are telling how they knew the kid 5 years ago when the kid is 3. I was a CPS worker and could tell horror stories about passes for justice.
