In a 2010 speech, Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's father, Robert Bergdahl, reportedly said, "The man who we believe holds Bowe grew up on the lap of his mother learning the Koran. He is a powerful man. We pray for him. He recently lost a son to a CIA missile drone strike. The fact that he didn't kill Bowe right then is incredible. So we pray for him."

I’m not seeing much there from a Christian worldview, honestly.

We are commanded by God to pray for our enemies. I understand the hard feelings for this family, but this statement seems like something most Christians/pastors would say.

Remember Jim Elliot was murdered from arrows shot by the Auca Indians, and his wife kept up the missionary work with them and they were all converted.

It’s a kingdom thing - I realize the world is at war with the Taliban right now and they are at present, our earthly enemies.

This is sounding more and more like “Homeland” TV series. What scares me is, if these people are so great, why did he even want to come back? I hope not to help plot a terror attack.
