What happened is his campaign staff accidentally used a SNL Script instead of a campaign plan and Bob Dole was too busy making Viagra commercials to notice much.
When he wasn't on the Viagra set, his staff was afraid to wake him. The only one allowed was his Girl Friday Chief of Staff, who it turns out has been a Democrat all her life.
When you think "Bob Dole," think positively. After all, it was he who taught McCain and Romney how to campaign. BTW, if I run into Bob Dole, I'll give him your regards right before I throw the bum the beatin' of his life.
