Saw them at the Cotton Bowl in 89, Living Colour opened for them.
Sounds familiar. Always wondered why Living Colour had a couple of catchy hits and then faded away. Probably internal differences like many bands. I've always been amazed that the Stones have lasted so long. You'd think they would get tired of each other.
One arena rock band that fell apart due to drugs but made THE biggest comeback with more hits is Aerosmith. Can't believe they're still filling stadiums, but then what a catalog of songs. I also wonder what the Beatles would have done if they hadn't broke up. More of McCartney's solo and Wings pablum? I don't think Lennon had the makings of a true rock n roll artist to evolve. He was too political and wore it on his sleeve and in his music - think "Imagine". Barf!
I was there. I have seen them three times. Can’t remember which tour, but it rained a bit at the Cotton Bowl at one show. They kept playing.
