Don’t have the video but when we went to the concert in Orlando, our seats were about 4 away from the “outer platform” so when the bridge swung out to it we had awesome seats. Quite a production. We weren’t sure what the contraption was at first thinking it was maybe for the sound guys but it proved to be a pretty cool piece of engineering for the bridge to swing out that far and the guys to run across to that platform for a couple of songs.

Wow. You saw that live? I think it was the best production effect ever and really added a new feel to a concert, but then the Stones have long time been about big stages/production. How else can they hide the fact that Jagger can't sing live? Har. Studio recordings, he's okay, but live he is off pitch. But then it's the Stones.

Buy the DVD for a different perspective from where you were. If you have a HD television and surround sound, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. You'll probably watch it over and over as I do.

BTW, when they finished on that small stage in the round and headed back up the bridge to the main stage, did the other musicians start a percussion intro to "Sympathy for the Devil"? They do on the DVD. Jaggers multi-color duster was just damn cool. Few others could pull that off without looking pretentious.

Last thought: The biggest mistake the Stones ever made was hiring the Hell's Angels as security for the Altamont festival (see the movie, "Gimme Shelter"). What a debacle, and such a small stage for such big bands like Jefferson Airplane and such. I could have organized that mess better.

It was the end of the outdoor festivals until the California Jams I&II years later. Was at the first one.
