First Lady could be positioning herself for a run at Mark Kirk's seat in 2016 By Ward Room Staff
FLOTUS for Senate?
It wasn't that long ago that such a slogan would seem absurd, but political wags are beginning to wonder whether Michelle Obama is mulling a run for Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk's seat in 2016. A Thursday column in Reuters suggests that Obama would be the only candidate with a large enough profile to unseat the Republican.
The column also points to Obama's recent willingness to debate the merits of her school lunch program with Republicans, a trip to China, fundraising and her stance on the kidnapped Nigerian school girls as other signs that her tone is turning more political.

It's not the first time Obama has been mentioned as a potential senatorial candidate, but that speculation has always focused beyond 2016. And the First Lady herself has never publicly indicated any interest in seeking political office.
But just like a senator named Barack Obama who decided to run for president in 2008 when many thought he should wait his turn, politics are often about timing.
She would quickly become the most recognizable face in the Senate. Her fame and fundraising ability would command deference in a body that normally operates on seniority. Whether the recent elevation of her profile suggests a plan to run is unclear, but she will be well positioned should she jump in. -- Reuters
There's also that 2012 Public Polling Policy survey showing the first lady picking up 51 percent of the vote against Kirk's 40 percent if they were to run. Your move, FLOTUS.

First lady Michelle Obama got a little carried away with her title, correcting herself after suggesting to supporters that she, too, got elected in 2008. At a Democratic fundraiser in Boston, Mrs. Obama asked the audience to remember when we took office. Then she said, Well, when Barack took office and I was there. She said the president has accomplished a lot of the change he promised in 2008. (Excerpt) Read more at washingtontimes.com ...

Hmmmmmmm....looks like the itinerant parasite (AKA the first lady) is getting ready to launch herself into a political campaign.
Michelle is looking---and sounding--- more and more like a candidate everyday. Recent news clips of the I/P making the HS grad speech (where she ordered kids to squeal on their families) shows she's been coached well. The way she used one hand to subtly gesticulate while making her points, was the tipoff.
Let's go back to her last trip on the taxpayers' dime.
That would be the pricey China trip.... "sold" to Americans as a "non-political" visit...she was just there to chat up education. But all of her appearances and inane remarks were connivingly structured for one purpose: to set herself up as a future candidate....and doing it on our dime.
MISSION CREEP Then the WH let loose with the final explanation....that her trip, and the tripe she was pedaling, was "soft diplomacy" ---- to "ease tensions" between the US and China (which have further deteriorated).
Come again? Who elected this self-serving creep? Who gave her diplomat credentials? She was there to "ease tensions" between the US and China---but flopped bigtime as Us/China relations have deteriorated even further. \
I just hope Valerie Jarett doesn't get carpel tunnel syndrome wire-transferring federal funds offshore for Michele's campaign expenses.
And I just can't wait til candidate Michele announces that she's s-o-o-o-o popular, she raised $50 million dollars in 2 hours. ROTFLOL.

YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS---GHETTO GIRL MAKES GOOD After Obama's 2008 election, hopes were high that Michelle Obamas (gag) political appeal and charisma would enable her to transform it into something that reflected the role of modern women as equal participants in the political process. That never happened----having been burned by the intense criticism she received on the campaign trail when she said, For the first time in my adult lifetime, Im really proud of my country.
