The terrorists in Donetsk are a disgrace! Today, pro-Russian terrorists broke into the Christian childrens home in Slovyansk and stole beds, mattresses and pillows. I am already angered that these morons don't have the decency to protect, but instead are causing unnecessary bloodshed!
But now, to steal the beds of orphan children? I am angry! May the Ukrainian Army wipe these terrorists from the map and may God have mercy on their souls....because I do not!
Praising God that the children who would normally be sleeping in those beds are here at Jeremiah's Hope camp sleeping safely in our care! Founded in 2004, Mission Jeremiahs Hope seeks to provide Gods hope, healing and practical help to the orphans and at-risk youth of Ukraine. By ministering to their spiritual, emotional and physical needs, we seek to guide these youth to become productive, Christian citizens in their own country. https://www.facebook.com/JeremiahsHopeInc
PRAYER REQUEST: So tomorrow we are expecting about 15 orphan kids from Eastern Ukraine, who are scheduled for a trip to America through a hosting program in a couple of weeks. The situation in Lugansk (where they are from) is bad enough that they had to be evacuated immediately along with about 1000 other orphans from the region. They are headed here to squeeze in with us for a couple of weeks until their trip to the states.
2 special trains were apparently arranged to evacuate the orphans. The kids are currently on the trains on the way to Odessa (which is the long way around to avoid the hot areas) and then on up to Kiev. We have just received news that one of these trains, with 500 orphans aboard, was stopped by the terrorists and is not being allowed through. We did, however, find out that the kids we are expecting here were on the train that made it through. So we are still expecting our new arrivals in the morning.
We don't know where we are putting everyone -- we are pretty maxed out. Every folding bed will be pulled out of storage and everyone will all squish together.
If you are a praying person, please pray both for the kids headed our way, but also for the train-load of orphans that are stuck behind 'enemy lines', I guess you'd say, being held by these terrorists.
We now have 67 refugees from Slavyansk. God continues to provide food and clothing through amazing Ukrainians who come each day to bring things! We are now transitioning to try to find apartments/homes for the families and assist them in finding jobs to start rebuilding a new life.
Never,ever trust a Ruskie.
