There have been many rumors and some outright statements that she dislikes being 1st lady. I would think shed hate being a senator for the same reasons.
She hates being First Lady in the same way a lot of US Presidents have only run and served “for the good of the country.”
Saying she hates it is good political innoculation against criticism of things like her extravagence and dominating behavior.
