I can’t think of anything that would make the people of IL happier than “Senator” Michelle Obama. Only CA will be happier with its continued “Governor” Jerry Brown.

To be sure. But that's just on one level. Michelle is being readied for national office.

Joey Plugs is ready for party martyrdom. His job (if the ticket wins, which it could) is to die immediately after the inauguration.

As the economy reaches low tide, they are confident of a legislative sweep in '18. They want to stick the Republicans with the Depression and establish Senator Michelle (or a utility Marxist yet to be named) for the 2020 campaign.
By then, she'll have shed Barry and really be ready.
Still being a senator is even more demanding. It’s demanding in the same way, and additionally demanding in all kinds of other ways. Plus being First Lady and hospital administrator isn’t much of a résumé, though I suppose no worse than Al Franken. But a lot of people believe that there was fraud in that election.
