Obama Admin Official Suggests Bergdahl's Platoon Mates Were "Psychopaths"

Perhaps the most insane theory seen to date regarding Bowe Bergdahl was posited on Twitter yesterday by Brandon Friedman, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development. Friedman suggested that perhaps Bergdahl is not a deserter who may have actually aided the Taliban, but instead, was attempting to flee from a platoon full of "psychopaths."

There are several documents suggesting he was a deserter, or worse, a traitor, plus he left a note and emailed his parents about how much he hated America, but okay, continue.

Look, I'm not a fan of premature speculation either, but come on now. The evidence has been out there for years, and there's no shortage of documents and data about his actions prior to going AWOL. To libel Bergdahl's platoon mates as being "psychopaths" without a shred of evidence is jumping to a premature conclusion himself. This is demonstrating a complete lack of respect for American soldiers, and is absolutely disgusting.

The truth is that Bergdahl’s platoon mates and the swift boaters are similar. The swift boaters were telling the truth about Kerry and the platoon mates are telling the truth about Bergdahl.

Mr Friedman says he is a decorated vet. Was he decorated for service or valor. If the former he is like me. Decorations for service have now become what the Canadian Forces call EBGO (Every B8stard Has One) if for valor what sort of valor. I know in Viet Nam certain units (division and independent brigades) had an ‘automatic decoration’ policy. First 4 months in country automatic Arcom, second four months in country second Arcom, last four months automatic Bronze Star, BSM for valor if one carried a combat arms MOS/OMS, BSM for service otherwise. Was something similar at work in Iraq? Inquiring minds would like to know. Also Friedman has one of those smirky arrogant patronizing b8stard faces you see so often inside the Beltway. You would just like to smack him with a two by four right in his smug self-satisfied mug.
