Remember how whacked Bush’s foreign policy was? I’m glad that Obama and Hillary have got things under control again. They’ve nearly restored the Pax Americana around he world.
I don’t know if Comrade Putin celebrates Christmas but everyday is a holiday for him these days. A weak American president and hapless European heads of state means Putin is like a kid in a candy store. He’s run circles around The One, made an energy deal with China, and now he’s sticking a knife into the side of India by making an arms deal with their mortal enemy. Yeah, I’d say ol Vlad is enjoying himself silly.
In a weird way, the Indians are probably very happy to see this. They themselves received some Russian military vehicles recently that malfunctioned spectacularly.

Nothing much will likely come of this. It is probably the Russians gnashing their teeth about all the equipment India is buying from non-Russian sources i.e. the U.S.,Israel, France & now, probably from Japan. The Pakistanis don’t have much money & the Russians aren’t stupid, they are reasonably good with their math.Nobody will risk $30 billion dollars for some peanuts from Pakistan. Incredibly stupid though on the timing. Don’t think the new Indian government will take kindly to such sabre rattling.
