I can easily imagine how Mick Jagger reacted to the spectacle of being publicly lectured by former members of Pink Floyd (not even touring any more) on where the Rolling Stones (who were touring the world while PF was still hauling their equipment in cars and vans) should hold their concerts. :-)

There is a story about John Popper (harmonica - blues traveler) sending a note to Mick Jagger asking to sit in on one of their concerts. Popper is incredible on the harmonica and world-class. However Mick Jagger plays harmonica also and (as we know) has a huge ego. Jagger supposedly said “what? dueling harmonicas. F him!”

Interesting, IIRC Blues Traveler opened for the Stones in 1997.
