Hmmm, that makes me want to compare the two. I liked the Eagles more pre-Walsh, but I don’t know if I can blame Walsh for it, and they were still really good. Cochran is better than a Mississippi Democrat, but that’s a low bar. I liked some Walsh stuff post Eagles ...... eh, long story short, out with Cochran.
You should check out the “ history of the eagles “ that’s been playing on show time or HBO. Starts with Henley and Frey in high school and goes all the way to 2012.
As for Walsh, he gives thanks to the eagles for saving his life in 1993. He was an absolute train wreck on a death spiral after the breakup of the band. The manager and Don Felton showed up at his house and hauled him to rehab. He had one year to get ready for the Hell Freezes Over tour in 1994. Been clean and sober every since.
