Acting as a stenographer on Wednesday's NBC Today, chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd parroted the Obama administration's new attack against critics of the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner exchange: "They did not expect this backlash on Bergdahl himself. I've had a few aides describe it to me as, 'We didn't know that they were going to swift boat Bergdahl'....
MSNBC quickly seized on the "swift boat" line, with Last Word fill-in host Ari Melber declaring Tuesday night: "We're gonna look at the right-wing play book for the newly released American POW, a wounded man who isnt even out of the hospital yet. Swift boat first, ask questions later."
That the leftist media is resorting to this level of demogagery, reaching for rhetoric like “swift boating” should tell everyone here something. They can’t even rally otherwise sycophantic liberals on this one.
Typical of this crew of slime balls. Doubling down.
Expect WH orchestrated personal attacks on the vets that have told the truth.
And for those of you who believe that the butt licks in the media will turn in mass on Obozo, you’re dreaming. They will assist the WH in the personal destruction of these courageous vets that are speaking out.
OMG! That meme will absolutely finish Obama. Go for it! Couldn’t happen soon enough.
It’s a signal to the party faithful “don’t even think about going against us on this!”
Bowe Bergedahl is a loony toon hippie scoundrel who has the death of at least 6 American on him who were out trying to rescue this deserter. These Dems and their presstitutes have a lot of nerve claiming he is being swift boated
Can someone ask her a follow up and ask her specifically what in his record convinced her that he served with honor and distinction?
He deserted.
American Patriots Against John KerryThe 1970 meeting that John Kerry conducted with North Vietnamese communists violated U.S. law, according to an author and researcher who has studied the issue.
Kerry met with representatives from both delegations of the Vietnamese in Paris in 1970, according to Kerrys own testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on April 22, 1971. But Kerrys meetings with the Vietnamese delegations were in direct violation of laws forbidding private citizens from negotiating with foreign powers, according to researcher and author Jerry Corsi, who began studying the anti-war movement in the early 1970s.
According to Corsi, Kerry violated U.S. code 18 U.S.C. 953. A U.S. citizen cannot go abroad and negotiate with a foreign power, Corsi told CNSNews.com.
By Kerrys own admission, he met in 1970 with delegations from the North Vietnamese communist government and discussed how the Vietnam Warshould be stopped.
It kind of pales in comparison to a POTUS releasing five top Al Qaeda terrorists though.
This whole media driven event (originally designed to be a “pro-American” photo op) still serves as distraction from the other Obama scandals (VA hospitals cooking the books to delay/deny healthcare, IRS scandal, lack of “legs” on more gun legislation over a California murderer who used knives and an SUV in his attacks,...).
“Look, a squirrel!”
Desertion is a heavy charge. He was headed to Cambodia by order of Richard M. Nixon.
“the newly released American POW, a wounded man “
First I’ve heard that he was wounded, unless the alphabet a-holes are taking journalistic license with the term “wounded”. I’m going to suppose it’s just them lying again to help their boy.
What about the millions taxpayers supposedly paid over to the `extremist’ Taliban (not terrorists)? Did that turn out to be true?
(Good luck with that.)
Poll: Should the president have negotiated for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahls release?
Yes 368 (7%)
No 2407 (48%)
He was a deserter 1316 (26%)
It jeopardizes all U.S. troops 1010 (20%)
http://www.washingtontimes.com/polls/2014/jun/2/should-president-have-negotiated-sgt-bowe-bergdahl/
(Three of the answers are in fact “No” garnering 93% surveyed.)
That’s just plain wrong.
Ø’s left hand would never do such a thing as that!
It ain’t swift-boating when its the truth ...
Isn’t he still in the service? He has not been discharged yet, has he?
In times of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
--George Orwell
I am proud of my fellow veterans, finally breaking their silence about this episode and about the VA atrocities. We are typically respectful and subdued, but we can lash out with a vengeance when pushed to the limit. And many Americans will follow the veterans’ lead, once we finally speak up and mobilize. More to come, I hope!
Notice whenever Todd refers to the Obama White House, it often has a "we" reference? He truly does consider himself as part of the regime.
Au contraire!
As we now know, "swift-boating" WAS the truth.
