Had this guy been captured prior to deserting would we really be questioning his status? No. We would be happy about his return.
I'm not sure what all the surprise has been about the way he ended up with the Taliban. I thought that was all common knowledge.
I’m shocked so many Freepers think one can just casualy desert the military, and the Army (or any other branch) is going to come after the deserter. Has it really gotten that bad?
