Sgt. Bergdahl to the Firing Squad?
U.S. News & World Report ^ | June 3, 2014 | Steven Nelson

Military law experts discuss possible desertion charges against recovered Taliban prisoner.

Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. Army sergeant released from Taliban custody Saturday in exchange for five of the fanatical Islamist group’s leaders held at Guantánamo Bay, may find himself in captivity again – this time in an American military prison.

Bergdahl, now 28, left or was taken from his base in Afghanistan in June 2009 after sending his parents an email saying “ life is way too short to care for the damnation of others, as well as to spend it helping fools with their ideas that are wrong. … I am ashamed to even be [A]merican,” Rolling Stone reported in 2012.

He was reportedly traumatized by seeing an Afghan child crushed by an MRAP armored vehicle and told his parents his battalion commander was a “conceited old fool” and his peers were “the army of liars, backstabbers, fools, and bullies.” He shipped a uniform and books to his parents.

Tales from Bergdahls’ compatriots suggest internal fury about his vanishing, which some believe was a deliberate act that led to the deaths of other soldiers. Fellow battalion member Nathan Bethea wrote in The Daily Beast as many as eight U.S. deaths may have been related to the ensuing search.

The NCO Corps are the same ones who will pull the trigger when the Progressives round up Conservative 'terrorists.'

Like the Thugs in Blue, as long as their masters protect them, they will commit any atrocity they are told to, and will try to improve on the horror if they think their Lords will approve.

No, a firing squad is too “honorable”, if he’s convicted of desertion and collaboration, he needs to hang.

The Allies denied Hermann Goehring and other Nazis the “honor” of a firing squad as a “soldier” and sentenced them to hanging as war criminals...

Commander-in-Chief’s Definition of “Honorable Service”

Includes Anti-American Actions While in Uniform; He Just Destroyed Troops Morale

The Obama admin tells America this soldier with honor and distinction.”

No, Mr. President, a soldier expressing horrid anti-American beliefs – even boldly putting them in writing and unabashedly firing off his messages while in uniform, just three days before he left his unit on foot – is not “honorable service.” Unless that is your standard.

Please use your White House Rose Garden to praise the truly honorable service of our good U.S. troops who were killed in their search for Sgt. Bergdahl. Praise the soldiers who fought with everything they had to defeat Islamic terrorists, those whom you just freed from prison. Our men gave all. Our surviving combat vets will forever live with the effects of the missions they willingly engaged in to protect you, our country, and certainly their brothers and sisters who are proud to wear the uniform.

You blew it again, Barack Obama, by negotiating away any leverage against the bad guys as these bad guys – Osama Bin Laden’s partners in evil crime – joyfully celebrate their “win” in the deal you sealed.

If you didn’t know, there are plenty of Rats serving in the military...I’m curious about how they view this most capricious betrayal...if their viewpoint towards the douche in the WH has changed or been altered in anyway...

I am beginning to fear for the lives of those soldiers and others who are speaking out about Berghdal...their continued revelations unravel the the WH’s talking points and propaganda at every turn, each time they put something out, it’s refuted...the narcissist in chief doesn’t like that, he takes that personally.

Umm, you and I obviously know a different bunch of NCO’s. The one’s I know are very conservative and despise Obama and Lib’s in general. I see quite the opposite scenario than you. I see a significant portion of the military supporting “the people” against the government paramilitary thugs; Homeland Security, IRS, etc.

Are these the same NCO's that are puffing peters and marrying their boy toys in the Base Chapel, while going to Wiccan Black Masses?

All the Old Corps NCOs I know are bailing, after umpty-ump deployments, with Rules Of Engagement that encourage the Downrange Afgans to score points on the troopies who are shorted air cover, while the Agency spooks buy off the local war lords, as Karzi fattens his Swiss accounts.

In short, we're hosed, and it's no comfort to know a concrete contractor whose been getting rich pouring enough building pads for 350,000, out past Hanford in the Tall and Uncut, for FEMA...

I think you’re making my point.
