I’m guessing Boss Hogg Haley Barbour’s game now is to try to
manufacture enough Cochran votes to put him ahead of McDaniel,
even though it appears a runoff is almost certain.

I.E. Both below 50%, but Cochran wins slightly more votes.

With 96.9% counted, 9540 votes remain on the table. Cochran needs 8376 of those 9540 votes to win outright.
