If the “well-placed” source found by The Sydney Morning Herald is to be believed, it seems former President Bill Clinton went into Hulk mode on a Swiss hotel mirror after hearing Qatar was awarded the 2022 World Cup. The Morning Herald reports :
“Bill Clinton looked anything but happy as he strode into the Savoy Baur en Ville hotel in Zurich in December 2010. The receptionists could tell he was irritated, but had no idea just how angry he was.
After closing the door to his suite, he reached for an ornament on a table and threw it at a wall mirror in a fit of rage, shattering the glass. … ‘Clinton was fuming,’ said one well-placed source. ‘He felt humiliated and felt the decision did not make sense.’ “

More likely they will build an indoor pitch and set the AC to max for the big games.
The lesser games will be played in the cool of the night when it drops all the way down to 90 fahrenheit.

I would hope that it would be 7 years bad luck for him, but him being a Clinton, the only justice he will face will be in the next world.
Bringing the World Cup to the United States is like sending the NFL Playoffs to Germany. Yeah, it’s a huge deal financially no matter where it happens, but that’s largely beside the point. I can’t imagine that the USA would top FIFA’s list — especially when the bribe money is so much better elsewhere.

The only way it could happen would be for it to go to a country that already has the infrastructure and stadia in place, such as the United States or most major European nations. And the reason Qatar got the World Cup was because FIFA didn’t want the World Cup to go to one of those places.
Colombia and Mexico were close enough geographically and politically to allow for a shift to happen. Moving the Middle East’s World Cup to Europe or the United States would frankly shock the you-know-what out of me.
Bill didn’t quite understand what he heard about players heading the balls, but he was rather taken with the idea.
Well we are beginning to see with the Winter Olympic Games, that it’s getting to the point where they may have to start begging countries to put on the games, as more and more people realize it isn’t the financial boon they were expecting.
That will probably be the case. Full agreement there.
Unfortunately FIFA still seems to operate under the idea that it’s ‘someone’s turn’ to host the World Cup, which unfortunately makes them not unlike the Republican Party in choosing Presidential candidates. But as long as they get their cut, who really cares?

Democrats have to make their mark and irrespective of how badly Clinton might screw up the 2022 World Cup the mainstream media would dutifully and roundly praise him.

Otherwise...the Qatari’s are providing funding, arms and training to the arab springs. The Qatari’s probably demanded Hillary resign for failing to adequately facilitate the resurrection of the caliphate as Secretary of State. Now Kerry is doing his best (worst).
