On the one hand it is a slap in the face for a conservative to come in 2nd in a primary, it makes him look bad and beatable. On the other hand Thad has more cash than McDaniel and he has the Uniparty machine behind him.

The runoff will probably have lower participation than the original race. I would think McD is favored in a runoff, unless Thad has a rabbit he can pull out of his suit.
