The key phrase in this article is the first line of the 4th paragraph:
"Russia expert Leon Aron of the American Enterprise Institute"
The man is a NeoCon and AEI is a NeoCon think tank.
Which NeoCon should we listen to, John McCain or Leon Aron? They are all the same.
The NeoCons have never been right about anything and the mess they got us in during the Bush years disqualifies anything the NeoCons think or say.

If by going rogue you mean not kowtowing to the Western globalist elites, yes they are.Eurovision 2014 winner Conchita Wurst is the poster child of Globalism and the sodomite EU.
No wonder Russia has gone rogue.

Treason either way. The EU is just as bent on global control as the Soviets were.

Peace through Strength is the only deterrence to international tyrants.
In reality it is the isolationists that think they can ignore the reality of evil, that get a hundred million people killed during WWII.

Russian Orthodoxy has been referred to as “Christianity’s dark side”.
State religions & dictatorships often partner together well. The religion justifies the despot’s rule, the despot protects the religion’s monopoly.

We are members of NATO, and not because we see Europe as Russia’s “back yard” as you do.

All because the US overthrew the government in Ukraine. We should keep our noses out of other countries affairs.

“We are members of NATO, and not because we see Europe as Russias back yard as you do.”
It’s either their “back yard” or it’s World War 3, at least with Putin. Given that, they can have what’s rightfully theirs.

Given that, they can have whats rightfully theirs. If using the word "rightfully" makes you feel better, then use it. Just remember that others know what the word actually means.
